Port Safaga, also known as Safaga, is a city in Egypt, on the Red Sea coast, 53 km south of Hurghada. Safaga was once a naval port, with regular ferry service. The port city was built between 282 BC. and 268 BC founded.
The area is known for its unpolluted atmosphere, black sand dunes and mineral springs, specific recognition properties for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Safaga has become a popular holiday destination in recent years. There are many hotels with excellent sandy beaches.
